For Kids views the family as the primary institution in
which normal growth and development of children occurs. We
believe it is necessary to empower families and
communities to work in partnership with formal and
informal service organizations to strengthen the child
welfare system.
 We believe
it is the responsibility of the public and private sectors
of our community to jointly breakdown barriers that
interfere with children and families achieving their
potential.
The
mission of Gulf Coast For Kids [Adoption Unit] is to
ensure that every child in the child welfare system has a
permanent home.
The targeted population is those that have
been in the foster care system for one (1) year or longer,
and will not be returning to their birth parents.
